Véronic DiCaire returns to the stage with a show that reveals a more personal side of her journey. Surrounded by her musicians, the Canadian artist reclaims her signature: a gallery of voices, seamless passages between impressions and songs, and a sense of performance that navigates between humour and emotion. She moves through repertoires she inhabits in her own way, playing with timbres, breaths and vocal tics to convey what lies behind each voice.
The music is live; the arrangements carry sequences conceived as small scenes, in which she moves from one character to another with precision. The thread of the show highlights what connects her to the artists she evokes, with moments that are stripped-back and others more orchestrated, and a narration that refocuses the voice as the primary material.
