Info
Alexis Le Rossignol draws his stories from everyday life, from those grey areas where nothing seems to be happening yet everything is quietly decided. With Le sens de la vie, he starts from the memory of a horse called Sans plus and a half‑hearted impulse to unfold tales at human scale. He mixes storytelling with kitchen‑table philosophy, stringing together small scenes, digressions and questions people usually put off. What do we do with our lives, how do we make our choices, our renunciations and our little acrobatics to keep standing? Alexis moves along calmly, with clear phrasing and precise writing; he sets up situations before twisting them just enough.
On June 13, 2026 at the Théâtre La Gaîté Rive Gauche in Paris, he unfurls this new set like opening a notebook: personal fragments, field observations, absurd micro‑logics and hushed confidences. There is no grand theory, but rather details that line up and end up illuminating without closing things off. You encounter interior dialogues, tiny lives, ramshackle plans, and that quiet music held between gentle lucidity and nonchalance. It’s a way of apprehending life through its blind spots, leaving room for the story, for doubt, and for that off‑kilter shift that lets the truth surface.
