Ibrahim Maalouf « 20 ans de live »

Ibrahim Maalouf celebrates 20 years of live performance with a concert conceived as a journey through his career. A Franco-Lebanese trumpeter, he has developed a distinct signature: a quarter-tone trumpet, melodies informed by Near Eastern modes, an appetite for jazz improvisation, and frequent bridges into pop and rock. On stage, his themes unfold and breathe, between solid pulses, establishing melodic lines and breaks that re-engage the listener. This event draws as much from his early records as from his recent releases, featuring updated arrangements and a musical narrative that links eras without heavy nostalgia. The programme includes stripped-down moments, denser collective passages, and instrumental dialogues in which the trumpet leads without occupying all the space. The idea is to revisit two decades of concerts, assess how the pieces have evolved in contact with audiences and fellow musicians, and reveal what forms the backbone of his sound.
