Since their beginnings in Glasgow’s post-industrial fringes, Franz Ferdinand have cultivated a precise sense of indie-rock songwriting: angular guitars, a punchy bass, gripping vocals and a dance-ready pulse. The Human Fear, their new album, continues that trajectory by exploring new textures without sacrificing melodic efficiency. On stage, the band strings together short, sharply crafted songs, alternating classics and new material, driven by a clockwork rhythmic precision. After a run of intimate dates and a summer of festivals, the Scots return for a European tour in spring 2026. Franz Ferdinand will play La Carrière Saint-Herblain on 13 April 2026, for a concert pared back to the essentials: clean riffs, syncopation, immediate backing vocals and bridges that reignite the energy.
