Julien Santini

Julien Santini practices a form of humour at the crossroads of stand-up and the absurd, with a deliberate taste for improvisation and sidesteps. On stage he weaves anecdotes, plays with silences, breaks the rhythm and allows detours that shift the audience’s perspective. He builds a singular persona, poised between fragility and assurance, and enjoys overturning conventions to create situations in which the trajectory stays open. His precise language and sense of incongruity produce a supple performance, constantly in motion.

He will be appearing on 16 May 2026 at the Théâtre de la Gaîté Montparnasse in Paris, in a format designed for the stage: lively and responsive. The show is written in the present, in contact with the audience, alternating improvisation and more scripted sequences, with a tempo that makes room for the unexpected. For 1 hour and 20 minutes, Julien Santini unfolds his gallery of ideas and small obsessions, observes everyday life with just the right touch of skewed perspective, and offers a direct experience—free of unnecessary effects and centred on performance and the spoken word.
