Info
Imarhan, a Tuareg group from southern Algeria, has for more than a decade carved out a path between assouf — the desert blues of longing — and Saharan rock driven by bright guitars. Their songs, sung in Tamashek, speak of the road, friendship and everyday life, carried by spiralling riffs, crisp percussion and call-and-response backing vocals. From their first album Temet to Aboogi, the band has refined a sound where the desert’s pulses meet touches of funk, pop and folk, always rooted in tradition.
On 28 March 2026 at Espace Avel Vor Plougastel-Daoulas, Imarhan will come to present this repertoire with a pared-down lineup: interlaced guitars and a solid bass line. You’ll hear stripped-down ballads as well as more urgent numbers, all centered on collective interplay and attentive listening. A plunge into today’s Tuareg sound, between clear melodies and a forward-moving tempo — direct, with groove, voices and the desert’s dust up front.
