Cœur de Pirate

For more than fifteen years, Béatrice Martin has been performing under the name Cœur de pirate with Francophone pop that blends piano, clear melodies and raw, immediate lyrics. A singer-songwriter, she writes songs grounded in life: bruised romances, surges of feeling, breakups — everything is explored in direct language and arrangements that range from intimate piano to more danceable rhythms. Her clear, slightly veiled voice gives her a distinctive timbre that runs through her albums and collaborations.

In 2021 she took the reins of the label that first brought her to light, now called Bravo Musique, with the aim of supporting new signings herself. On stage she moves between ballads and more uptempo numbers, with a sense for melodic detail that hooks the listener effortlessly.

On March 7, 2026, Cœur de pirate will be in concert at the Centre Gérard Philipe in Calais — an evening to revisit her classics and recent songs, carried by precise piano playing and writing that goes straight to the heart.
