Info
On 18 March 2026 at the Trianon in Paris, Yasmine Hamdan takes the stage with a repertoire that links Beirut to Paris, between pop, electronic music and Arab heritage. A singer, songwriter and producer, she blends organic timbres and synthetic textures, soulful guitar lines, and lyrics that engage with both poetry and everyday life.
She first became known with Soapkills, an indie electronic duo from Beirut that she co-founded with Zeid Hamdan in the late 1990s. After moving to Paris in 2005, she collaborated with Mirwais on the Y.A.S. project and signed with Universal for the 2009 album Arabology, marked by a club sound. As a solo artist she released Ya Nass (2013) and Al Jamilat (2017), and toured internationally. She also appears in cinema through collaborations with Elia Suleiman and Jim Jarmusch. Her third solo album, released in 2025 on Crammed Discs/[PIAS], opens a new chapter that she presents on stage, between electronic rhythms and guitar-driven melodies.
