Amel Bent returns to the stage after a long hiatus. For nearly a year and a half she withdrew from the spotlight—no interviews or TV appearances—to write and compose. From that period of calm came her eighth album, more intimate in its approach, built around her voice and tightly crafted lyrics. Straddling soul and French-language R&B, she is back to performing live with a desire to reconnect her new songs with those that marked her early years.
