Info
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard land in Bologna on June 11, 2027 at Sequoie Music Park, bringing that famously shape-shifting catalogue to the stage. The Melbourne crew, led by Stu Mackenzie with Joey Walker, Ambrose Kenny-Smith, Cook Craig, Lucas Harwood and Michael Cavanagh, never sticks to one lane: garage and surf grit, lo‑fi psych, prog spirals, folk detours, jazz-rock twists, and sudden dives into full-on metal. Expect a set that can jump from tight, punchy songs to long, repetitive grooves and concept-driven sequences, with those microtonal flavors that changed their sound in the Flying Microtonal Banana era, or the thrash edge they embraced around Infest the Rats’ Nest. Live, they’re known for marathon energy, constantly rotating repertoires and extended improvisation without losing the sense of structure. With recent chapters like PetroDragonic Apocalypse, The Silver Cord and Flight b741, this Bologna date is a chance to catch the band at its most restless and wide-ranging.
