Info
The Lightning Seeds return to the stage on 9 December 2027 at O2 Academy Oxford, bringing Ian Broudie’s Liverpool pop-rock songwriting back into a full live setting. What started as a mostly one-man studio project in the late 80s quickly grew into a band built for big choruses and crisp, melodic guitars, sitting right at the crossroads of indie pop, Britpop and alternative rock.
Expect a set that moves through the group’s 90s run of clean, hook-led singles, with that bright production and instantly singable refrains that made their name on the UK festival circuit. Along the way, Broudie’s knack for tight arrangements and pop craft comes through just as much on later material, from the comeback era to the more recent See You in the Stars, keeping the sound sharp, direct, and made for a room full of voices.
