On February 22, 2027, Imelda May brings Raised on Songs & Stories: The Lock In to Vicar Street in Dublin, back on home ground for a show built around her voice, her writing, and the many lives of her music. First known for that sharp rockabilly and swing edge she shaped in the 2000s, she’s never stayed in one lane for long, moving between rhythm and blues, jazz, soul, and folk without losing her signature snap.
Expect a set that nods to the early, retro-fired energy of her first records while making room for the shifts that followed: tougher rock and soul turns, then a more stripped, song-first approach that puts storytelling front and centre. In recent years she’s also played with spoken-word textures and looser, late-night moods, and this Lock In format is a natural place for those detours.
