Info
Django Django land in Cardiff on March 9, 2027, at Y Plas Cardiff Students' Union for a show built on their signature mix of art-rock, indie and electronics, always with that slightly psychedelic tilt. Formed in London by four friends who met at Edinburgh College of Art, the band has a knack for turning tight vocal harmonies and looping, motorik rhythms into songs that feel both direct and a bit skewed. Expect dry or fuzzed-out guitars locking in with punchy low-end and bright synth textures, shifting easily between head-nod grooves and more expansive, experimental passages.
With a catalogue that runs from their self-titled debut through Born Under Saturn and Marble Skies to the more collaboration-friendly recent era, Django Django’s live set tends to stitch eras together without breaking the flow. It’s the kind of gig where hooks and repetition do the heavy lifting, and the band’s collective chemistry keeps the momentum moving all night.
