Info
Few voices linger in the soul like Cara Dillon’s. A leading figure in Irish music, she has earned recognition including the Meteor Award for Best Irish Female and four BBC Folk Awards. For nearly 30 years, her voice, deceptively delicate yet emotionally powerful, has evoked something timeless and elemental.
At her side is her husband and collaborator, Sam Lakeman, whose work as producer and musician has shaped her career. Their intimate live shows at Saint Luke's & The Winged Ox feature their renditions of Black Is the Colour and The Parting Glass, alongside pieces from Coming Home, her 2024 release.
From her teenage roots in Óige and De Dannan to remixes, Disney soundtracks, and Derry Girls, Dillon continues to defy boundaries. She affirms that legacy not simply as a singer, but as a storyteller of emotional depth; her voice, as always, lingers long after the last note fades.
