Info
On December 6, 2026, Mick Flannery brings his songbook to Gleneagle Arena in Killarney, with the kind of set that lives and dies by the story and the voice. Coming out of County Cork, he’s built a steady path since the mid-2000s, blending folk, blues and Americana with a sober rock edge, carried by that rough, husky tone and writing that keeps things concrete and human.
On stage, expect songs that lean on narrative more than spectacle: acoustic guitars and piano-led moments, then fuller band-driven passages when the tension needs a lift. From the early arc of Evening Train to the more direct shapes of Red to Blue and By the Rule, and the character-focused mood of recent records like Goodtime Charlie, Flannery’s material is made for a room that wants to listen closely. This Killarney date should feel like an evening of sharp scenes, quiet weight, and melodies that don’t overexplain themselves.
