Info
Supergrass brings its Oxford-bred rush of punky drive, sharp pop hooks and alternative rock to O2 Academy Leeds in Leeds on April 30, 2027. Built around Gaz Coombes, Mick Quinn and Danny Goffey, the band first hit hard in the mid-90s with “Caught by the Fuzz,” then turned that early nervy energy into tighter, more crafted songwriting on I Should Coco and In It for the Money. Onstage, that mix still lands: quick, melodic tunes with chorus-first efficiency, then sudden shifts in mood and texture that hint at how their sound kept stretching album after album.
From the straight-ahead blast of the early years to later records that flirt with psychedelia, glam flashes and darker, slower edges, Supergrass have always played with contrasts without losing momentum. After calling it a day in 2010 and returning in 2019, they come back as a band that knows how to keep songs lean, loud and instantly singable, while leaving room for surprise.
