Riff Regards presents Dynamite Shakers at La Cabane.
The Dynamite Shakers have chosen difficulty, desire, guitars, and adventure. These four friends made a pact in the schoolyard: to form a band and shape the future. They are the transmission, the succession, the will to write a new chapter in the history of the indelible riff and tattooed melody.
Their music forages the past with relish and respect, while looking toward the horizon with intense ardor and energy. Within the Dynamite Shakers, ghosts blow on the embers—from Cochran to the Pixies, from Gun Club to Sonic Youth. The band started in DIY mode, hitting the stages and growing before our eyes.
Four hundred concerts later, after opening acts for The Offspring, Sum 41, the Pixies or Nick Cave, Élouan (vocals/guitar), Lila-Rose (vocals/bass), François (drums) and Calvin (guitar), with an average age of 23 and hailing from Vendée, are about to release their album on Barclay.
Titled Marilyn, this record produced by Lionel des Limiñanas and recorded at ICP (Brussels) is a love letter without a white flag. Between punk-rock cavalcade, taut pop and psychedelic forays, they offer unbridled, frontal and precise rock and roll.
Rock, some like it hot. The Dynamite Shakers, they prefer it when it’s torrid. One, two, three, four, let’s go!
