Info
On February 9, 2027, SOAK comes to Strange Brew in Bristol with the kind of set that puts the writing front and centre. The project of Derry-born songwriter Bridie Monds-Watson moves between indie folk, dream pop and alternative pop, built around a voice, a guitar line, and arrangements that stay light enough to let the story land.
Live, SOAK’s songs tend to hit with that direct, uncluttered feel: intimate scenes, emotional knots, and the messy edges of growing up, delivered without overplaying it. Across records like Before We Forgot How to Dream, Grim Town and If I Never Know You Like This Again, the sound has widened and sharpened, but the core stays the same: thoughtful melodies, flexible rhythms, and lyrics that go straight for identity, attachment and coming of age. Expect a show that feels close, even in a room full of people.
