Info
Soichi Terada arrives at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris on November 4, 2026 with an audiovisual live show conceived as a bridge between two pivotal strands of his career. On one hand, the nerve-wracking yet ultra-melodic jungle of Sumo Jungle, a record that has become a cult classic among diggers; on the other, his video game music for Ape Escape, etched in the memory of an entire generation.
On stage, Terada makes his breakbeats, supple basslines and pop motifs circulate with a groove sensibility forged between Tokyo and the New York–influenced sound of his early days. The idea is not to replay the past as a museum piece: he recomposes his motifs, twists the rhythms, and makes the drum'n'bass energy converse with highly legible 'console' melodies. All of this is extended by visuals that he personally runs in sync, blending Japanese imagery with the aesthetics of video games.
