Info
Kontravoid's masked mystique has been intact for more than a decade. Since the release of the self-titled album in 2012, the Canadian-born, Los Angeles-based Cameron Findlay has refined his dark form of pop music, balancing between EBM, electro and goth. Releases such as Too Deep (2019) and Faceless (2021) lead the listener into dilapidated corners of fog-drenched, strobe-lit nightclubs, where it is impossible to stand still. At the same time, the music contains an unexpected softness and a clear sense of powerful songwriting craft. Kontravoid manages to create heart-wrenching songs that both captivate and exude melancholy. The track 'Undone' from 2018 remains a fan favorite since its release on Fleisch Records in Berlin. On stage, Kontravoid demands the audience's full attention with an intense performance, where hard-hitting beats meet his distinctive, rhythmic basslines. He has toured with Boy Harsher, ADULT., Drab Majesty and Hide, as well as remixed artists such as Schwefelgelb and Kris Baha. Kontravoid stands as a prominent figure on the dark electronic scene.
