Info
Scott Helman lands at The Bronson in Ottawa on December 9, 2026, with the kind of songwriter pop that sticks to the classic song format: tight structures, clean production, guitars up front, and choruses that go straight for the point. Coming out of Toronto’s indie-pop lane, he blends light folk touches and accessible rock, carried by a flexible voice and writing that leans into personal details without getting lost in them.
Onstage, Helman’s catalog moves easily between early releases like Songs for Friends and Augusta and the more introspective turns of later projects, including Hôtel de Ville, Hang Ups, and Nonsuch Park, while keeping that immediate melodic backbone. If you’ve caught him on bills alongside Tegan and Sara, Shawn Mendes, Vance Joy, or Dean Lewis, you know the vibe: singer-songwriter honesty, pop pacing, and a set built to be sung back, not overthought.
