She sings the worst horrors with disarming sweetness… and it’s irresistible. GiedRé, what she loves in life is writing goofy songs about things that aren’t very funny. And what she loves even more is singing those goofy-not-so-funny songs on stage, because the lights are very bright and they make her look ten years younger. At least that’s what she believes, but people aren’t fooled. So she hits the road again, with a new Maxi Best Of format, no fries but with her biggest hits, at least in her family’s eyes (who constantly confuses her with Barbara Streisand.) Since the time she has been waiting in that dark room, she has written no fewer than 150 songs, perhaps more, but she can’t count beyond (after all, we rarely need to count beyond 150). So she chose her favorites, the people’s favorites, wrote some new ones, and here she is back on the road to sing them to those who are far from home but have in their eyes something that hurts. But if you’re not far from home and nothing in your heart hurts, come anyway, if only to check whether the stage lights really do make you look younger. (And if you don’t get the reference, as the youngsters say, brush up on your classics.
