Info
On March 15, 2027, Winnipeg’s Canada Life Centre hosts The Red Clay Strays, an Alabama band that’s been quietly stitching together country rock, Delta blues and gospel heat since forming in Mobile in 2016. Built on taut guitars and big, lived-in vocals, their songs move between Southern rock drive and country ballad writing without losing that soul-leaning edge. After early singles like “Good Godly Woman” and “Will the Lord Remember Me,” they pushed their sound into full focus on their debut album Moment of Truth (2022), with “Wondering Why” turning into a real crowd moment once it started circulating online in 2023. Since then, bigger stages and sharper ambitions followed, and 2024’s Made by These Moments, produced by Dave Cobb, doubled down on that mix of grit, melody and gospel-fueled intensity.
Opening the night, The Bends bring a punchier, more direct alternative rock angle. The Nashville-based quartet—Hayden Field, Ian Marmande, Jacob Rhodes and Chase Perkins—pair saturated guitars, garage energy and hooky choruses, drawing from everyday stories rather than grand statements. Formed back at LSU after long cover sets, they took off with the original track “Makeup,” then kept the momentum through singles and an EP, ahead of their announced debut album If You Insist (2025).
