Info
Squeeze arrives in Grenoble for a concert at La Belle Electrique on March 19, 2027, carrying with them more than fifty years of British pop and that songwriting duo who do it all: Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook. Formed in London in 1974, the band forged a distinctive new wave — edgy and melodic — propelled by razor‑sharp lyrics about everyday English life, with that sense of phrasing and humor typically British.
On stage, you’ll hear the tracks that established their signature by the late 1970s, between immediate pop and intricate arrangement details, from Take Me I’m Yours to Cool for Cats or Up the Junction, not forgetting the landmark moments of the 1980s. After pauses and reconfigurations, the duo regrouped in the mid-2000s and relaunched the machine with new material, notably on Cradle to the Grave and The Knowledge. A date to hear songwriting that has left a lasting mark on pop music.
