Sanit Mils presents:
Kanaan (psychedelic rock / heavy psych - Norway)
For ten years, Kanaan has relentlessly explored the realms of heavy psych, progressive rock, jazz, and improvisation, building, album after album, a massive and free sound.
In 2026, the Norwegian trio celebrates its tenth anniversary with its tenth album, simply titled Kanaan, to be released on October 16 by Jansen Records, three days before the Paris date at Klub.
Thought of as a synthesis of everything the band has developed since its beginnings, this new album pushes every facet of Kanaan: immediate melodies, wild psychedelic passages, deliberately raw analog sounds, and, above all, heavy riffs.
Recorded at Athletic Sound in Halden with Dag Erik Johansen, Kanaan captures a band that has reached maturity but remains driven by the same desire to play, improvise and push its own limits.
+ guests: Caduta Massi
Originating from Rennes, Caduta Massi takes its name from a warning spotted on the slopes of Vesuvius: "Attention, falling rocks." An image that fits well with the trio, capable of letting the tension rise before unleashing monolithic riffs and scorching solos.
Influenced by All Them Witches, Fu Manchu, and King Buffalo, the band develops a heavy and psychedelic stoner rock that thrives on tension-building crescendos and shifts in intensity.
