Rayland Baxter brings The True Violet Tour to Vancouver for a night built around his laid-back, finely crafted songwriting. Based in Nashville, he moves comfortably between americana, alt-country and folk-rock, with a soft psychedelic glow and a pop sense that keeps the melodies close. Expect acoustic-driven songs, supple arrangements and that relaxed voice that makes his narratives feel like they’re unfolding right next to you.
Over the years, Baxter has expanded his palette from early, rootsy records like Feathers & Fishhooks to the dreamier textures of Imaginary Man, then into the broader, more pop-leaning feel of Wide Awake, without losing the warmth at the core. More recently, he’s returned to original material with If I Were a Butterfly, continuing to blend calm hooks, country inflections and hazy production.
