Info
On May 26, 2027, Agnes Obel brings her hushed, piano-led songwriting to The Bronson in Ottawa. Born in Copenhagen and now based in Berlin, she’s built a singular space between chamber pop, intimate folk, and modern classical touches, with songs that feel written for a small room but linger like film scenes.
Onstage, her pieces often unfold around voice and piano, then widen through delicate string arrangements and close vocal harmonies. Expect the slow-moving melodies and minimalist repetition that shaped albums like Philharmonics and Aventine, as well as the more structured, conceptual side developed on Citizen of Glass and Myopia. It’s a concert for letting the details sink in: circular motifs, restrained dynamics, and that quiet tension she knows how to stretch without ever raising her voice.
