The Witches & Vikings Tour 2027 stops at La Rayonne in Villeurbanne on February 14, 2027, with Eihwar and Hindarfjäll for an evening that traverses ritual trance and Nordic folk.
Eihwar, a French duo led by Asrunn and Mark, pushes its 'Viking War Trance' between dark neofolk and tribal electronic crafted for the stage. Chanting, martial percussion and a dancing pulse intertwine in an unmistakably Nordic-fantasy universe, nourished by their Hugrheim narrative. Spotted online and subsequently embraced by metal and dark folk stages, they have already carried this format to raw energy on festivals such as Hellfest, Wacken and Midgardsblot.
On the other side, Hindarfjäll, a Swedish collective formed in 2015 around Nils A. Edström, offers a more acoustic and choral approach, at the crossroads of Scandinavian neofolk and folk metal. Polyphonies, percussion, flute, guitar, nyckelharpa and restrained atmospheres sketch a music oriented toward myths, nature and ancient rites, with a contemporary production that preserves the link to metal aesthetics without overdoing it.
