Daykoda is the musical project of Milan-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Andrea Gamba, a prominent figure in the electronic and contemporary experimental jazz scene.
After performing at European jazz festivals and opening for Thundercat, Daykoda arrives at Locomotiv Club with his quartet to premiere the new album Blue Devil at the Bologna Jazz Festival. Produced entirely by Daykoda, mixed in London and mastered by Tommaso Colliva, the record expands the project’s global reach thanks to collaborations with Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Theon Cross, Daedelus, and Ze in the Clouds.
Live, the dialogue between the quartet and electronics takes shape in a seamless flow: a dynamic performance that blends the precision of production with the improvisation of jazz, moving between intimate atmospheres, intricate textures, and an overwhelming rhythmic energy.
