Peter Hook & The Light announce a French tour during which the band will perform in its entirety the two Joy Division studio albums, Unknown Pleasures and Closer, at the Casino de Paris.
Released in 1979, Unknown Pleasures was followed a year later by Closer, whose recording finished shortly before Ian Curtis’s death, and a posthumous release in 1980. Since then, these two albums have regularly topped album rankings, compiled by both critics and the public.
As a founding member of Joy Division and New Order, Peter Hook revisited for the first time Joy Division’s seminal album, Unknown Pleasures, in May 2010, on the occasion of a commemorative charity concert. Since then, he has continued this work of transmission each year by performing on stage the albums from the repertoire of his two bands, Joy Division and New Order.
This fidelity to his catalogue has thus led him to revisit Unknown Pleasures, Closer, Still, Movement, Power, Corruption & Lies, Low-Life, Brotherhood, Technique, Republic, the Substance releases as well as Get Ready.
Peter Hook thus continues to introduce or reintroduce his repertoire to generations of audiences around the world.
