Info
On February 19, 2027, at O2 Academy Birmingham, Spanish Love Songs bring their Los Angeles emo‑punk to town with that mix of punk urgency, pop‑punk hooks and indie-rock textures. Built around Dylan Slocum’s direct, melodic writing, their songs ride wiry guitars, big choruses and increasingly present keys, always in service of lyrics that stare down anxiety, social fatigue and the daily grind without dressing it up. From the early punch of Giant Sings the Blues to the sharper, more expansive feel of Brave Faces Everyone and the fuller production of No Joy, the band’s set promises momentum, tension and release, and that cathartic singalong edge they’ve honed on the road.
Opening the night, Philadelphia trio Carly Cosgrove tap into emo revival and pop‑punk while slipping in math‑rock rhythms: jittery guitars, quick structural turns, and spoken-sung lines that keep you on your toes. Expect sharp tempo changes and everyday storytelling rooted in friendship, doubt and growing up, in the spirit of their album See You In Chemistry.
