Info
On April 1, 2027, RY X brings his finely pared-back songwriting to the Octagon Centre in Sheffield. Born in Australia as Ry Cuming and later switching to the RY X moniker, he’s built a sound that sits between indie folk, alt-pop and indietronica, where acoustic guitar meets soft electronic grain and a voice that feels close-up and weightless.
Expect a set that moves through key chapters like the Berlin EP, where his minimalist approach first clicked into place, and later albums Dawn, Unfurl and Blood Moon, balancing quiet intensity with modern production details. Known for projects that drift toward the club and the experimental—The Acid with Adam Freeland and Steve Nalepa, or Howling with Frank Wiedemann—RY X also brings that sense of atmosphere back into the solo show, keeping things intimate while letting textures bloom when they need to.
