DHP presents Insecure Men at Belgrave Music Hall.
Born in London around 2015, Insecure Men first took shape as Saul Adamczewski’s writing project, then on the fringes of Fat White Family, before becoming a full-fledged band with musician and producer Ben Romans-Hopcraft. The duo develops an oblique pop where art pop, chamber pop, lounge, exotica and psychedelic rock cross, with flexible arrangements, crafted melodies and a marked taste for tonal shifts.
Insecure Men released their first self-titled album in 2018, a record that departs from the more abrasive aesthetics associated with Adamczewski’s previous trajectory and establishes a more introspective universe, made up of winding songs, hushed orchestrations and black humor. The project sits within a London scene where both classic pop references and more experimental forms circulate, while maintaining a distinct identity, at once melodic and unstable, connected to a circle of musicians from the British indie rock scene and driven by composition work and writing that blends fragility, irony and social observation.
