VÆB lands in Manchester for an evening of Icelandic pop that hits fast and hard. The duo consists of brothers Hálfdán Helgi Matthíasson and Matthías Davíð Matthíasson, and since 2022 they have built their own universe of electronic pop with a touch of light hip-hop and synthetic choruses, often in Icelandic and always with a forward-driving energy. At Manchester Academy on September 27, 2026, you can expect short, punchy tracks that alternate between catchy hooks and rhythmic bounce, as seen in their releases from Væb tékk to the EP Væbauer. VÆB truly spread widely with their tour through Söngvakeppnin and on to Eurovision, where in 2025 they represented Iceland with “Róa.” Now they follow up with material from the album Væbout (2026) and a concert that brings together their viral beginnings, pop-scene momentum, and the more polished, club-ready sound they have refined over the past few years.
