Info
On December 3, 2026, Léon Phal will present at L’Auditorium Seynod in Annecy his project 'Bodies & Ideas', a playground where contemporary jazz rubs shoulders with fusion and groove. A saxophonist born in 1991, who trained classically at the Reims Conservatory and then studied jazz at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, he builds a sound that leans as much on lyricism as on pulsation, with motifs that cling and melodies that advance with purpose.
On stage, the quintet spirit is central: compositions written to circulate, transform, leaving room for improvisation and for the collective, with colors that can reach toward African-inspired music, hip-hop or soul without losing the jazz thread. In the wake of his albums Canto Bello and Dust to Stars, this concert promises music that is fluid, precise and alive, conceived for the live setting and for the dialogue between bodies and ideas.
