On December 13, 2026, at Blue Note London, The Brand New Heavies bring their London-bred acid jazz DNA back to a club setting built for groove. Formed in West London and shaped by the late-’80s scene, the band has always worked the sweet spot between funk, soul and jazz-funk: tight drums, elastic bass lines, crisp guitar parts, and arrangements that leave room for big vocal moments.
Expect a set that moves through the different chapters of their catalogue, from early acid jazz staples to the more modern, funk-leaning material they’ve kept sharpening over the years. Led by core members Simon Bartholomew and Andrew Levy, with Angela Ricci on vocals, they lean into that live-band feel: rhythms that lock in, choruses that hit fast, and a sound that’s made to be felt as much as heard.
