On December 6, 2026, the Polyphia Tour MMXXVI will bring three acts to the Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen, whose sounds are built more from contrasts than from labels.
Polyphia from Texas are known for instrumental music with pop sensibilities: Tim Henson and Scott LePage dissect melodies into angular, precise guitar lines that draw as much from prog and metal as from hip-hop, funk and electronic textures. Since the early viral moments around 'Impassion,' the sound has continued to broaden—from Muse, Renaissance and New Levels New Devils to Remember That You Will Die—without losing its tight, rhythmic DNA.
Perturbator is the project of Paris-born James Kent. His dark synths range between darksynth, industrial and a cool post-punk edge, fueled by sci-fi and cyberpunk imagery. Live, the pulsating drive of Dangerous Days and The Uncanny Valley meets the harder, more direct approach of later releases.
Also joining is RJ Pasin, a New Yorker who fuses metalcore and deathcore riffs with hyperpop gloss, Jersey drill grooves and R&B melodies. This is guitar music that sounds produced and readily shifts direction in the middle of a song.
