Info
On November 30, 2026, at Thekla in Bristol, mustbejohn brings his UK-bred indie-pop and melodic spoken-word project to the stage, built around sharp, everyday storytelling and choruses that stick without trying too hard. His songs move through city routines, friendships, and those in-between moments when life shifts direction, delivered in a spoken-sung flow that keeps the lyrics front and center.
Live, the balance is the point: direct narration meets pop structures, with productions that nod to British indie as much as light electronic touches. If you’ve heard tracks like “Last Dances” or “Jenny’s House,” you’ll recognize the way he turns small observations into full-room moments. More recently, the EP “Hope Came Last” marked a step toward a clearer indie-alternative edge, and this show is a chance to hear that evolution in a set made for both crowd energy and intimate lines.
