Cardinals arrive in Liverpool for a show at Arts Club on November 18, 2026, bringing the restless, shape-shifting energy that’s been pushing them to the front of Ireland’s independent guitar scene. Born out of a cramped rehearsal room on Cork’s northside, the band writes in extremes: songs that tilt from darkness to light, from compassion to chaotic indifference, and back again, without smoothing the edges.
Built around brothers Euan Manning (vocals, guitar) and Finn Manning (accordion), joined by their cousin Darragh on drums and longtime friends Oskar Gudinovic (guitar) and Aaron Hurley (bass), Cardinals twist post-punk urgency into something wider and moodier. Shoegaze haze, indie-rock melancholy, flashes of folk and gothic colour all slip into the same frame, with the accordion cutting through like a signature. Expect a set that moves fast, hits hard, and still leaves room for melody and atmosphere.
