Info
On October 3, 2026 in Joensuu, Lost Society share a bill with HOKKA for a night that connects two generations of Finnish heavy music, each with its own way of pushing riffs forward.
Lost Society, led by singer-guitarist Samy Elbanna, started out in the early 2010s with sharp, fast thrash and a crossover edge, before steadily opening their sound up. The early run of albums set the pace, then the more recent records moved toward a modern blend where groove, metalcore punch and melodic heavy metal sit alongside the band’s original thrash drive. Live, that evolution translates into tight guitars, tempo shifts, big rhythmic impact and choruses that hit without losing the bite.
HOKKA is the newer project built around vocalist Joel Hokka, alongside guitarist Pauli Rantasalmi and drummer Jimi Aslak. Their songs lean into alternative and gothic rock textures: dark melodies, direct hooks, and that distinctly Finnish early-2000s rock DNA, reshaped with a current, heavier finish. With a debut album already setting the tone, this set should bring a dense, nocturnal atmosphere and chorus-first songwriting to the stage in Joensuu.
