Info
The Lilacs land in Lincoln for a live set at The Engine Shed on April 2, 2027, bringing the kind of no-nonsense UK indie rock that’s built to be played loud in a room full of people. Formed in Wigan, the quartet leans on straight-to-the-point guitars, tight rhythm work and choruses that stick without trying too hard. Frontman Ollie Anglesea drives the songs with a direct vocal edge, backed by Sam Birchall’s crisp guitar lines, Dave Gomersall’s punchy drumming and Matt Johnson on bass.
Honed on the English independent circuit, The Lilacs have been turning heads through regular gigs and bigger-stage appearances, from Manchester’s Albert Hall to the O2 Academy circuit and a slot at the Isle of Wight Festival. Expect a set that moves fast, with that live-band urgency at the core, and room for early calling cards like “Vicarage Road” to hit with the anthemic swing that helped put their name out there.
