Info
I Gnoomes were born in 2014 in Perm, in the Urals, a place where psychedelia does not enjoy much consensus. Before recording their second album they spent five days in jail for a positive drug test and they recorded it anyway, sober, in a former Soviet headquarters of radio and TV. From there a ten-year relationship with Rocket Recordings, a label that also counts Goat and Gnod among its artists. Losey is their sixth album for the label. Sasha Piankov and Masha Piankova, now a couple in life as well, left Russia for the Slovenian countryside: a decision of the nervous system, they say, more than political. Foreign Agent faces head-on the pressure of the Russian state, mixing sky-gazing psychedelia, motorik in the Stereolab vein and EBM warped by the 303. Their motto: rave as therapy, pop as resistance.
a/lpaca come from the Mantua Lowlands, the land of the Gonzaga family better known for something other than music. From there they have become one of the international acts within Italian kraut/post-punk, with their debut Make It Better released by three labels in three countries and hundreds of gigs across clubs and festivals across Central Europe, the UK and the United States, including SXSW. With Laughter, their second album, synths and drum machines join the kraut guitars of their origins.
