Dexter and The Moonrocks bring their “Friends That I Don’t Like – Canadian Tour” to Saskatoon on February 13, 2027, for a night built on their self-described “western space grunge”: thick, saturated guitars, straight-to-the-point melodies, and that push-pull between ’90s grunge tension and country-tinged storytelling. Formed in rural Texas in 2021, the quartet has been tightening the formula across releases like Western Space Grunge, then the 2025 EP run, with songs that lean into big choruses without losing the grit.
On the bill, Return to Dust adds a darker, heavier edge. The Los Angeles quartet bends grunge, hard rock and alternative metal into a compact sound driven by weighty riffs and a vocal approach that nods to classic ’90s American rock. After the Black Road EP and their 2024 debut album, they’ve kept the momentum with Speak Like the Dead, landing somewhere between melody and punchy heaviness at the Coors Event Centre.
