Info
Beirut lands in Toronto on April 13, 2027 at History for a night built around Zach Condon’s singular take on indie folk and chamber pop. What started as a home-recorded project quickly turned into a live ensemble sound: brass lines, accordion swells, ukulele and acoustic percussion weaving together like a travel diary set to music.
On stage, Beirut’s songs move between Balkan-inspired marches, chanson-like orchestration and more stripped, concise writing, without losing that soft, slightly melancholic pulse. Expect sweeping arrangements that feel intimate even when the horns come in, and melodies that stick around long after the last note. Whether you’ve followed the early records or the more recent chapters, this show is a chance to hear that careful blend of folk songwriting and roving, cinematic instrumentation take shape in real time.
