Saturday, September 19, 2026 at La Bellevilloise, Free Your Funk presents La Nuit Habibi Funk.
Habibi Funk, Darone Sassounian, and Machi will be at the turntables in the club.
In Room 2, Algerian Vinyl and Soulist will take over.
Habibi Funk will perform from 12:30 AM to 3:00 AM, an opportunity to discover music from the Middle East and the Maghreb that he unearths on his label as in his DJ sets. He will be surrounded by two of his closest collaborators:
- The Armenian-American Darone Sassounian, curator of the Silk Road compilation on his Rocky Hill label, who also produced the compilation centered on Ara Kekedjian released on Habibi Funk’s label in late 2025.
- In warm-up, Machi, who, through his Instagram page, showcases gems from around the world.
In the second room, Algerian Vinyl will open the evening with vinyl records largely from Algeria before Soulist plays soul, funk, disco, and house.
