Jake Bugg comes to Liverpool on February 20, 2027, at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic for a show built around what he does best: tight songwriting, a sharp voice, and guitars that switch from stripped-back folk to nervier indie rock.
Since breaking through in the early 2010s, Bugg has kept that direct, no-frills approach, moving between acoustic tracks and more electric, tense songs without losing his identity as a songwriter. His run of albums maps that evolution, from the early, front-porch immediacy of his debut to the Rick Rubin-recorded Shangri La, then the more self-steered On My One, the warmer acoustic pull of Hearts That Strain, and later records that lean into pop structure before circling back to an upfront guitar sound on A Modern Day Distraction.
