Foreigner arrives in Paris on April 16, 2027, at L’Olympia for an unplugged set, conceived as a more intimate re-reading of a repertoire forged between FM rock, punchy pop, and hard rock. Born in New York in 1976 around Mick Jones, the band built its signature sound on a simple, effective balance: solid guitars, melodic keyboards, and choruses that linger in the mind.
For this date, the aim is not to recreate the grand spectacle in arena mode, but to place the spotlight back on the writing and melodies, through classics spanning five decades. 'Cold as Ice', 'Juke Box Hero', 'Waiting for a Girl Like You', and 'I Want to Know What Love Is' take on a different hue when the electricity is more restrained. An evening to see Foreigner up close again and hear these songs, which defined mainstream rock of the 1970s and 1980s, differently.
