Info
Peter Hook & The Light announce a French tour in spring 2027, during which the band will perform in their entirety the two Joy Division studio albums, Unknown Pleasures and Closer. Released in 1979, Unknown Pleasures was followed a year later by Closer, the recording of which concluded shortly before Ian Curtis’s death, ahead of a posthumous release in 1980.
Since then, these two albums have regularly ranked among the top lists of the greatest albums of all time, compiled by critics as well as the public. They laid the foundations of an enduring legacy: a visually iconic identity, whose sleeves have inspired millions of T-shirts, a production by Martin Hannett, still as precise and visionary today as it was at the time, and two albums that remain a major influence for nearly all of the leading bands of the past four decades.
The 2027 French tour will follow another year rich in concerts. After a series of dates across the European Union, the group will continue on to Australia and New Zealand during the summer, before touring the United States and Canada, as well as several festivals in the United Kingdom and around the world. Peter Hook & The Light will perform at La Condition Publique in Roubaix on 30 March 2027 at 6:00 PM.
