On October 11, 2026, at Bien Public in Bordeaux, Talib Kweli will come to lay down his rhymes and remind audiences why his name remains a touchstone whenever one talks about demanding New York rap. Emerging at the turn of the 1990s, between the Black Star collaboration with Mos Def and his projects with Hi-Tek, he built a dense, precise writing, always attentive to depth as well as form. On stage, one finds that blend of crisp flow, storytelling and social consciousness that runs through his classics, including 'Get By', as well as his more recent albums and releases.
To open the evening, three 100% Bordeaux-based opening acts set the tone: Joey Larsé, Ëlle de Nuit and Plae Casi. This will set the mood before the set of an old-school emcee, comfortable with varied instrumentals and faithful to an independent vision of hip-hop.
