Westside Cowboy lands at Rough Trade Liverpool on August 27, 2026 for a matinee set built around their new album It Goes On. The UK quartet (Reuben Haycocks, James Bradbury, Aoife Anson O’Connell and Paddy Murphy) writes and plays as a unit, pushing a sound they call “Britainicana”: country hues rubbing against indie rock and art rock, with wide-open melodies, tight guitar lines, and a deliberately rough edge.
On stage, those songs lean into tension and release more than polish, with choruses that hit without trying to cosplay American roots music. Expect the newer material to sit naturally alongside the band’s earlier run, in the same spirit as their 2026 EP So Much Country ’Till We Get There: folk-country inflections, rock urgency, and that collective snap that’s made their live shows move fast from small rooms to bigger bills.
